Delivery and collection

We deliver across the UK by pallet and by parcel, or you can collect from our site by appointment.

Pallets

Larger orders and mixed lots are shrink-wrapped and strapped to standard pallets and sent through a pallet network or on a dedicated vehicle. Pallet deliveries are kerbside: the driver lowers the pallet to the ground at the nearest safe point the vehicle can reach and does not carry goods inside or break the pallet down.

Parcels

Smaller orders are boxed and sent by parcel carrier to the door. We choose the format that suits the order unless you ask for a particular method at checkout and we agree to it.

Collection

You can collect from our site instead of having the order delivered, with no delivery charge. Collections are by appointment: choose collection at checkout and we email you when the order is ready and agree a time. For bank transfer orders the goods are released once the payment has cleared.

Access

Tell us about access in the delivery notes when you order. We need to know if a large lorry cannot reach the address, if there is no firm level surface for a pallet truck, or if you have a forklift or a loading bay, which can reduce the cost. Someone must be there to accept the delivery and sign the delivery note.

Charges

Delivery is quoted at checkout from your postcode and the pallet or parcel format, and is shown ex VAT on the order. Timed, morning and Saturday services cost more where the carrier offers them.

Checking your delivery

Count the pallets or parcels against the delivery note before you sign, look for visible damage and note anything wrong on the paperwork. Then raise the claim from your order page or by replying to the order confirmation email.

The policies in full

The Delivery Policy sets out charges, access, failed delivery and collection. The Returns and Claims Policy sets out how a damage or shortage claim is made and settled.
